I have to agree with you on that. I will use my own template. They're easy enough to create.
I think Yamaha/Steinberg are missing out on a potentially great feature by not allowing us to assign these buttons to two different routing setups as opposed to the presets they've decided on. It would make switching between tracking and mixing much easier and very useful. I can't see how it would be very hard to implement but I'm not a computer programmer so who knows.
