finally...

so i finally got some $$$ saved for drywall supplies. stuffed the walls with 4" Roxul Safe'N'Sound mineral wool.I ditched the wall plates idea and ran a 2" PVC pipe about a foot long elbowing inside the wall that i could fish cable through and stuff with something.

i also ran a small piece of pipe through the back wall so i had a hole that lined up with an existing plug that i pushed the booth up against with a power bar ran through it, no wiring or lighting needed, i can just plug a lamp and amps into the power bar.

now i just have to prep and hang my door. i went to a used construction supply warehouse and got about a hundred pound solid core door for $25

i just have to cut a hole and install a window, hang it, and then start working on the absorption panels for the inside.
