| I can't speak to the Alesis FW versions (8, 12, etc.) but I have an Alesis Multimix 6 which is pretty much the same hardware minus the Firewire. I'm very not impressed, it's pretty noisy. I would recommend the N8. I have the MR816 which is very similar, and it's great. Excellent preamps, quiet, great features, and the drivers have been very good for me under Vista 64 and XP 32. If you have Cubase it's a no brainer for the N8 because of the integration. |
