And really, why not. Same as upping taxes on beer but keeping pot illegal its all about income via crimes on the state and federal level.

Alot of countries don't have copyright laws, particularly Islamic countries since allah created everything how can a human own it? I don't really see China giving a rats arse about the RIAA either tbh. Alot of people some to use downloading to get previews really, I know alot of people fed up wasting £12 on a cd to find out the single is the only song thats listenable. if they like the CD they'll buy it. Same story with people that own the records, why spend an hour a record converting when its a few minitues to download it.
