Got some salmon in the brine, it's drying now and going into the smoker this afternoon. Celebrated a good friend's birthday with a wonderful, authentic country-style Italian meal at Zambri's, and went with our friends to see Trio in concert. Bela Fleck, Stanley Clarke and Jean Luc Ponty - what a treat to see these three legends together. Stanley was amazing, looked like he was having loads of fun up there, played upright on all but one piece. It was great to see Jean Luc in fine form, silky tone for days, the command and control he still wields over his instrument is stunning. Bela was - well, Bela - I'm constantly amazed at how he can bring out the best in everyone he plays with. Trio was no exception.

No real point to this thread, I just think that good things need to be celebrated...
