StudioOne is optimized for multicore processing. Because it was built from a new code base, we are able to take advantage of having multiple cores a lot more than other DAW's that have been ported over and over again. One example I've found is that I can have many songs open at the same time in StudioOne and simply flip between them (I'll be covering all of this in some upcoming blogs and you'll be able to see what I mean). I've never gotten that kind of performance from any DAW I've used.
