Definitely give the mastering engineer a data disc containing the 48k/24 bit audio files.
Don't burn the data CD faster than four times speed.
Wav's are more universal than AIFF's.
Most mastering engineers use either Sadie, Sequoia, Wave Lab or Pyramics.
All of these are PC based.
Even the Mac OSX stuff that I use (Sonic Studio soundBlade and PMCD) seems to run a little smoother using Wav's for both playback and capture!
