MEK/PEK can put out evil distortion, any cheap console pre driven to the max could sound very nice, my soundcraft spirit ch pre sound freeking @$%@# pushed all the way up on TB303.. and of course like i mentioned, S H E R M A N S H E R M A N S H E R M A N ..
