I'm guessing you're going for some ambience/room tone. I'd probably stick with 57 close, KSM44 in omni or figure8 backed off. Never used the 319 so don't know.

I don't see any use for MS on a gtr amp unless it's in a really cool sounding space, or maybe it's only gtr and vox and want a wider stereo image. An amp {for the most part} is mono, record it mono.
