I have never heard of an R84. Going to have to look into that one.
I believe I am going to get the heil. After reading the responses, it sounds like a "go to" type of mic. Thanks for all the input!
I did a little research on ribbons, but a lot of what I read makes me think they are a bit more difficult to with, so I'll stick to trusty dynamics for now.
