I currently have a MacBook (a dual core but not the Pro), Cubase 5 and an N12.
I need more microphone inputs and have waited for the MR816x but before ordering I thought I should check here.

Do you think a MacBook (with Cubase 5) can do 16-24 channels in (using the N12, MR816x and a firewire disk) or do I need a new computer as well (like a MacBook Pro where I can run two firewire interfaces)?
