Midibox 64 is what I would suggest they are very easy to put together and can be highly modified.
I have ripped apart just about every thing I have that is a controller to mod but in the end MidiBox is the way for me I use a Midibox 64 and 3 Midibox LC's
It is DIY and has restraints on reselling but you can apply for permission to
sell. Some pretty cool people on the forum to bounce ideas off
and I would think you would have at least a shot at permission.

I really like the way you did the knobs over the screen.
I think I saw a picture of this on a Harrison console and wondered how it could be done. I think you came up with a really cost effective workaround.
