What was said above - source/converters first Id say. But :

maybe telling you to buy super extra Formula 1 tyres for Suzuki Swift 1000ccm, however:

Aurora GTQ2 - stereo mic amplifier / di with three band Eq..its higher price range,but for 2channels 2 eq at level of this superb quality it is one of best offers i think..

did not try it personally, but worked couple of times with GTQC which is one channel - /not 100percent sure but it is the same preamp and same extra nice Eq as GTQ2

and it was probably one of most exciting times i had with music.

In lack of money you can still work with solo pre to track drums mostly in mono as it is done usually../I track through Great River ME1NV + SSL Eq/

Not sure pre will sort out Reason, which i do not consider is the right thing to do a bangin beats. Id get MPC + Logic : )

but there is still plenty of other options .
