I always record with the traditional series stuff from Istanbul. I always get compliments. Nice, quick crashes....the larger ones have just the right amount of wash. The thinner rides can be crash/ridden a la Grohl or countless others. I alsolutely love them.
I do still love my regular K hihats, but recently picked up a pair of the Istanbul Funky Rock hats. While it might be the stupidest named product ever, they do sound really nice.
