+1 of the M3 and a really good pre. One of my favourite mics at any price for acoustic geetar, hi hat and Britishy sounding, cut through the mix male vocals. I think this is because of the output stage on the mic. Made in the USA too. I've heard the V12 is great and also the V69 and the Genesis. dfegad
