I just want to say ( I'm a little behind in this thread
) I finally got my SC1 properly assembled. Man this thing is hot!! I have a friend who has the A-Designs Pacifica and that also is quite a nice pre. I did a comparison and there wasnt too much difference except that the SC1 had a much fuller sound. There was no sibilance yet the it was very clean. It has a wonderfully silky sound, the lows are not boomy the mids are warm and the highs as afore mentioned are very precise without fatiging the listener. It also is very airy on vocals as well. Big ups to the guys at five fish, my friend after hearing the mic pres said that he will purchase four of the four in a single rack. So you are doing something right. The system that I am running:
