Are you using the PG81 as a mono overhead? That would be one area to try and upgrade. Try a LDC for a larger than life sound. SDC for more brilliance from the cymbals.
for more punch, Make sure you are not compressing anything as you record. For the kick, you need to experiment with placement and tuning. Sometimes, more than one mic is what is needed. (Subkick) | i would say
