I prefer the A&H stuff over Soundcraft in terms of build quality and versatility in the "lower budget" ranges.

Better EQ's by far and various options to use as FOH, Monitor and basic Recording purposes.

Whether or not that is worth doubling your outlay is entirely dependant on your needs and proposed usage.
