If that's all you have left for the mic. you wasted the money on the camera.

The sound is actually more important than the picture - also - a good mic. will last you through at least five cameras as you will change the camera every three years or so and the mic. every 20 years or so (if that).

The ones to look at, really, are the MKH 416 (industry standard) or MKH 60, Schoeps CMIT is also getting liked.

Cheaper price K6/ME66

All these are a lot more than your budget - if your budget was really that tight it would have been better putting less into the camera and more into the mic.

I would not go cheaper if you want to make good recordings.
