Very rarely are people just plain wrong in regards to taste in gear. You sir, succeed in being wrong.
NS-10's are not "High End Gear". They are bookshelf speakers that people gravitated towards decades ago. Personally I think they sound average...but I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They are my truth-tellers, and I can't stand when a studio doesn't have them. Yeah, Genelecs are pretty sounding...but they just don't have that familiar NS-10 freq. curve.
