You need to do some treatment. Look around on this forum about bass traps and diffusors and such. There are DIY stuff, too. Which will not cost lots of money but can really work great. Although time consuming.

But most of all:

Get some LIFE and VIBE into your room

I couldn't even imagine beeing creative in such a sterile enviroment.
