I don't have one but I have a question...
I would imagine that you guys are using the Mopho from a controller keyboard of some sort. If you map knobs from the controller to the Mopho do the controllers knobs inherit the "long-throw or in this case, long-spin" of the knobs on the unit? My guess is no because the controllers knows would send the 128 MIDI steps the same way for everything, regardless of what it wasconnected to...
To say that the knob precision makes the unit "pretty much useless" seems a little much. You are playing it with a controller, why not just control the knob parameters from a controller as well?
I think what they should have done is add a button...if the knob is turned with the button depressed, then it goes into high precision mode. Without the button depressed, 1 rotation should cover the full range.
