Since I own both B&W's and Barefoots I'd have to disagree with this statement. My B&W 802's (and 805's) will not be leaving my mastering room anytime soon. As for the Barefoot MM27's, they are great but they can't replace the B&W's in my book... sorry!
All this is a matter of personal taste anyway... try them for yourself and see what you like. It is the only way to really tell what will work for you... not by listening to people who don't own them (or even people like me who own both).
