how is it in sampling little snippets of sound and then use that as raw waveform? stepping you might get something of a wavetable? (or not?)
I never see examples of this.

I did see some youtube where the guy had something nice going with a loop.
as an waveform shaper (used as an effect) it sounds pretty hardcore (like all the Harvestman stuff). like a rocketplane with only up and down controls. not really the sound I'm after.

the malgorythm, yes, that one looks more controllable (or is it?).
not as cleancut as the doepfer, but I might need some more more weirdness in my system since it's mostly doepfer allready.
