I did a record earlier this year that charted on the Billboard 100 and only sold 7,000 copies! Yow!

Y'know, the funny thing is, I've made a dozen records this past year that have been released by independent labels that sold at least that much - sometimes many times that - and they never see any Billboard notoriety. What gives?
Those folks at the RIAA need to re-think the number of units required to earn Gold and Platinum certification...
