You are printing your mix to.....where???
If you are printing it ITB...then yes, the comressor is doing nothing to you mix, only to the monitoring of the mix.
You could make an analog insert on the master fader using your interface.
Or, if you printed the mix off of the stereo out of your board to a Masterlink, tape, or whatever you would get the compression on the mix.
Is that clear...!!!
