Listen to this advice. I spent 3 years renting condensors and fighting the battle of dogs barking, fridge running, PC noise 20 feet away, cars going by. The SM7b eliminates that problem completely, requires no mic technique to get a good to great vocal take without popping and is also great on things like kick, bass cab, and upright bass. Best $350 I ever spent on a mic.
