I went through the exact same debate a few months back. The way I see it, for the price you're going to pay for a new, budget workstation, you could buy a used one-generation old workstation that will be much better. Instead of a Juno G or M50, you could get a Fantom X, Motif ES, or Triton. That would be my advice.

I bought a used Fantom X6 instead of the Juno G I was considering. Excellent decision! There is a part of me that thinks a Motif ES would have been a better choice, but I still love the Fantom a lot. I personally am not too crazy about Korg workstations.
