Hi John,
I had a Juno-G for about a year. Although the programming can be pretty deep, I found the quick edit knobs handy and fun to use and the effects section was pretty decent. I tweaked several of the presets and came up with several good atmospheric pads. I didn't do any sequencing or sampling, though.
I sold it after deciding that I really wanted another keyboard with aftertouch. Also, if you want a decent acoustic piano patch, you'll have to buy an SRX expansion as the preset piano sounds are crap.
pros: lots of sounds and backwards compatible with Roland's JV/XP/XV series sound libraries
cons: no aftertouch, cheap keyboard feel, crap piano sounds, only 1 expansion slot
