Don't overlook some of the "hifi" Dyns. I have a pair of Contour 1.3SEs -- paid about $2000 for a very lightly used pair (audiogon.com is your friend). Fantastic monitors, with incredible bass extension (37Hz) and a truly world-class tweeter.
