Played with and heard the Oram and the Toft at AES this year (I know, obviously not the best of circumstances to really be able to hear the boards but still). I really wanted to like the Toft better (the guys at PMI are really cool and very helpful plus their product is available here in the States) but I didn't it. I preferred the Oram on every count (sound, quality of built, looks, feeling, etc.). Plus the Oram meter bridge is great - can't say the same for the Toft one which, judging from the prototype that was there (and having followed the threads on GS) seems like a rushed, ugly product that's being pushed to production to stop people from complaining.
Oh well! I was really trying to decide - I'm in the market for a board - and the Oram just seemed better on all counts. And then I went by the API booth . . .
I guess, you get what you pay for . . .
