I totally agree. (I am a former Tascam US-2400 user by the way...)
I have to admit I had no deep aknowlegment of SmartAV, but I immediately considered Tango as my controller of choice.
My frustrating experience with US-2400 makes me hesitate from buying goods that don't appear more than reliable to me.
(er.....Tascam is not actually a light weight...
