Brick gives more sound isolation between rooms, but makes the sound worse inside the room by reflecting more and to a lower frequency. If sound and thermal isolation were not an issue, the best walls would be made of cardboard. That lets bass pass through to the outside, but reflects mids and highs so it's still a room. Unless you need brick for isolation, or like the look, you're better off using normal drywall construction.
