| I got JJ's and Tung-Sols for my MPA. They don't sound as good as things I've heard with Mullards and Telefunkens etc...but the JJs and Tung-Sols sound significantly better than the stock tubes in almost every way. Also, the JJs (more top end sheen) and Tung-Sols (more punchy low-mids) sound different from each other.
Still, I'm considering flipping my Heil PR40 (thin, thin, thin) for some good NOS. |
