How can I get eight I/O in my Lynx L22?

Hey guys!

I have a Lynx L22 soundcard, which I'm very pleased with.

However it's only a two channel card. I need more channels in, but I get the best sound quality when I run a cable from my preamp directly into the L22.

Which means that when I need to record my triton in stereo I have to plug out the preamp cable every time.

I have a Soundcraft Spirit board, but it severely degrades the audio signal.

I read in the L22 manual that it's possible to buy a cable or something that makes it possible to get eight I/O.

It's described here: http://www.lynxstudio.com/lynxlsaes.html

My local music store told me via e-mail that this forces me to buy another AD/DA converter (they suggested Behringer SRC2496. Dear Lord...It MUST be crap).

However, I'm quite happy with the converters in the L22 and would prefer NOT to be forced to buy another converter.

If this sounds strange, it's because I don't understand what this really is.

I want eight I/O in my L22 card, but HOW????
