| I think the really exciting news here is that Tom Oberheim is making a new SEM. From the info I have gathered, its going to be identical to the old SEM except for two things.
1) Due to sourcing issues, theres a few parts that will be different in this one as opposed to the original.
2) There will be basic CV/gate control over midi. Hopefully we get control of pitchbend, and filter with that, but its unspecified.
Regardless, if the sound is still there, it will kick the crap out of any of the newer stuff out there, including the Dave Smith stuff, and if he can keep it under a grand, he will do well.
We shall see.
