Yes I am hardware only. But I dont disrespect those tools enough to say that I dont take them seriously. I am not a softsynth fan... Thats pretty obvious, but when I hear things done creatively with them it really interests me. Please read the entire thread next time before you take my quotes out of context...

I got into synths to tweak knobs, and god forbid actually play the damn things. When I am playing my Arp Solina, softsynths dont even exist. You can not get anywhere close to that or any of my other hardware with soft synths, end of story. And to the guy who said you cant get what Absynth does in hardware, check out the Hartman Neuron, Roland JD800, Korg Prophecy........

As for the person who said boo hoo its too hard, you are the reason that electronic music is so freaking boring at the moment. If you put in the grunt work, you will be rewarded hugely, with new unique sounds that no one else has. If you would rather tweak the cutoff of a terrible sounding preset in a softsynth and call it your own, dont compare yourself to hardware synthesists. I have that tattoo for a reason (my avatar). To distinguish myself as a synth player, not a computer jockey. Do not compare one to the other.

Rant over

Certainly interesting to see you've had a change of heart but please don't forget that people are actually reading the things that you post!
