That's 'cos they were from the Bay area originally. They moved to LA in the early days to 'make it'.

Well, I guess that depends on what the new definition of 'making it' is. American Idol seems to be the new definition of making it.

I know cats that recently moved here from SF and Austin because the music scene sucks there (according to them). They were quite surprised when I told them about free mondays in Silverlake (all the live music clubs are free)....said there is nothing like that in SF or Austin....and the music was sucky anyway. This is for Indie rock'ish type stuff.
