Don't be scared by that, be scared by this:
"$100 unlimited studio time for one month,"
"Free studio time for R&B singers," etc.
Their gear list? Top-of-the-line, "M-Audio mics, protools (mbox), reasons (crack)..."
The bad news? I just perused LA's clist for the first time in a couple days and saw:
"$15/hr studio time," with about the same gear mentioned. Luckily, most artists MOVE to LA from somewhere else, and are serious--so they either know something and have recorded before, or at least saved up money/have a job to pay for quality, and know it when they hear it. I'm not worried--it was working before (and so was I!).
One more day, and I'm OUT!
