| Soundproof/Basstrap wall or...help needed!
Hello all,
I'm being forced to move my tracking/rehearsal room so that it will be adjacent to the neighboring business and I need help in making the right descision about this.
My first choice is that I'd like to build another/reinforce the wall (opposing the ctrlroom window in the pic) that will both keep the disturbance to a minimum and as well function as a big bass trap for my recordings.
Given that the room is small already and that kind of wall might require alot of depth (or a floating floor which is not a possibility for me), maybe this is not practical and I should instead use my money to treat the room to make it sound the best it can and only track after business hours...in which case I'd love some advice in how to treat it.
Amount and kind of traps and diffusors, if theres a optimal place to set up drums...anything you can think of will be of great help to me.
All walls are made of some crossover between hollow brick and concrete, I can't find the english word for it(I live in Stockholm, Sweden and eh thats were I was born) floor is linoleum on top of the concrete.
For all the reading I've done on the subject over the last months all I really know is I can't afford to get it wrong. On the other hand, I put all the money I make into this place anyway so I CAN afford to get it right.
I realize I'm asking for alot of you guys but as I said, in whatever way you can enlighten me I'll be most grateful.
I will be tracking drums guitars etc mostly rock pop stuff.
Thanks in advance
/uffe
