| On FutureSex/LoveSound Justin Timberlake not only used the same Linn Drum unit, he used the same effects processing that Prince did (Prince is known to have used both the Linn Drum and the LM-1). It's a good album, but he really needs to be giving Prince some major credit for influencing the sound of the thing.
There are a few sample sets out there with the sounds from the Linn Drum, google around a bit. I know that Guru has a set of Linn Drum samples. Problem being there were a lot of ways you could tweak the sample sounds on the Linn Drum, so it's hard for any sample set to really give you the full range of what a Linn Drum could do. |
