C&T make another simpler shock mount for the NE....but you may also want to check out the Enhanced Audio M600, which is a hard mount, not a shock. Its a much different idea, but I think you'll find it works really well with any microphone for any application. I think The C&T replacement shock mount is better because its not as limiting as the stock swivel mount when it comes to cabinet placement and shootouts.
Comparing the Royer and C&T microphones in the written word is very hard to do....when they are in my room, placed on my source, versus your room and your source. The 121 has more of a modern thing to mid range...a little dipped but smooth and clear and very agile, while the Naked EYE-R has more of a traditional RCA-type character with silky bottom and its more forward in the mid range and did I say....larger bottom. Side by side its a tough call and the NE-R stands RIGHT next to the 121 for the same applications, they are just left and right aesthetically....I would use them both on the same sources depending on the goal.
