Hi, After reading great reviews i have just bought a Yamaha N12 Firewire mixer/interface. Im finding the manual not quite as transparent as it should be and im having difficulty performing tasks, can anybody help? With any new piece of gear i set myself little tasks to find myself around the item and i am just at a very basic stage with the N12, i only got it yeaterday. Im having trouble mixing down from cubase into the n12 and back into cubase. I am just testing with one mono vocal on one track because if i can send/return one track successfully i could send them all? Heres my track settings; Input n12 dir 1, output n12 1. On the n12, hardware mix, daw mode, l/r, channel 1 and stereo on. The equalizers are working on that channel but i have got no fader control of that channel while mixing, not automated odviously (level). Due to me not being able to mix i cannot mix down, can anybody help this newb? Step by step would be appreciated as im new to outboard mixers
