isnt n12 suppose to be an analogue/digital console? i guess its more limited to the digital domain isnt it so? Not that i am saying the gear isnt good. I absolutely finds the preamps to be very clean. That caught me by surprise. But the flexibility with outboard gears seems lacking.

I’ve used a couple different preamps with the n12. The insert is directly before the A/D. Now that I think about it I ran my Joe Meek pre and Meek compressor in to the n12. I have not ran an external compressor by itself in to the n12. But isn’t that what inserts are used for? I don’t have an external hardware reverb unit but all you would need to do is use an insert.
