I would be deeply sadden to know that it couldnt work with outboard gears such as compressor reverb units etc. I literally tried going through the manual but hadnt find a way to do so yet.
isnt n12 suppose to be an analogue/digital console? i guess its more limited to the digital domain isnt it so? Not that i am saying the gear isnt good. I absolutely finds the preamps to be very clean. That caught me by surprise. But the flexibility with outboard gears seems lacking.
