| The 'Summer Evening' backing-vocal hook reminds me a bit too much of the guitar in the track on Radiohead's 'OK Computer' with the 'lost it completely' lyric. The one about being taken up into an alien spaceship. Especially given the ambient guitar in the background.
There are a number of phrases in your stuff that definitely remind me a bit too much of... something or other... Darn it!! What is it?! 'Nobody Does It Better' or something? Does it matter?!
I agree that you should probably let us hear more of the music, not little clips. There is a fine line between tantalising and annoying.
This music doesn't have much of a mojo for my tastes. It can sound a bit clinical or artificial or something. But it's pretty well done. There's no reason IMO why it shouldn't sell, if you can avoid being too smug or pretentious with it. |
