I also considered to the transition to nuendo from dp ( I already have a large protools setup)... each of these programs have cool things that one can do but not the other....I love the import to trac function in PT for instance... I think DP and PT are much closer in interface and style to each other....as for the price thing I came to the conclusion that nuendo is priced higher to appear to compete more closely with PT's .. the old if it it costs more it must be better routine...I would save the bread for a great mic...
