BMT,

I think I hear your question and it can be hard at times to get answers instead of advice :>)

I use DP 4.5.2., and have been on DP since V4. A studio that I do a lot of collaborative work with uses Nuendo 3 and has been on the Nuendo patform for the last 3-4 years. I can't personally find a reason why Nuendo costs 5-6 times as much as DP. They are both totally usable programs IMO and for my tastes the DP interface and workflow are preferable, but to each their own. If you are accustomed to PT, I think you might find the DP switch relatively easy GUI -wise. At one point I was going to add Nuendo (or Cubase SX3) to my system for compatibility and both the other studio owner and I decided there was no real reason. We share files regularly, both programs are very comfortable with that so.......both have access to all the third-party plugs you could ever want, etc....

So having experience with both: I think they are both excellent, and would be perfectly happy working on either platform, but would most likely choose DP for a lot less money.
