I reallly don't want this to come off snobby

as I want and do appreciate any help, but let's just assume that I've done my homework and have narrowed my choices down to DP 4.5 or Nuendo 3. I am not asking anyone to teach me the programs. I would just like to know from any DP or Nuendo masters out there what the main selling points are for Nuendo to be sooo much more than DP. Or maybe what DP does the Nuendo doesn't. I mean, Lord of the Rings had DP use as did The Matrix so I'm assuming that it can do sound for film. While I'm not there yet... I might be one day. At this point I'm just looking completely at stats. (Does DP do this? Does Nuendo do this? Or Nuendo has this list that is does the no other program does.) Just FYI, I have a powerbook 15in 1.5ghz, dual 2.0ghz G5, UAD-1, and Mbox. Both computers have 512mb ram in each which will be upgraded soon as will the Mbox. Basic frustations with DIGI are as follows: track count limitations, no ADC for UAD-1, and no HIGH quality converter boxes for le or even the ability to go into adat inputs on 002r @ 88.2k. So at this point it seems that DP fits the bill for what I need. But then again I don't want to be limited as I never know what I may get myself into. I guess I just have a hard time wrapping my head around why so many audio only guys use Nuendo when it has the same engine in SX3. Is it because the name "Cubase" isn't perceived as pro so these guys spend way more money and feel it's a pro app., or are there really that many more features? I'm open minded about what kind of work I may get into. If I need to do sound to picture then I want to. If I'm just doing a regular tracking and mixing session, then I want to do that. But here's a for instance. A feature that I have come to rely on in PT is the "Tab to Transient" function. Does DP, Nuendo, or any program do that besides PT? Sorry if this sound like a rant. That is not my intention. I'm just trying to strictly look at some facts here. Not personal preferences or any other hype. Thank you for reading this long post and thanks for your response.
