Suggest me a mic/micpreamp combo for my guitar-rig :)

Hello

I'm looking to finnish up my guitar-rig with a nice mic/micpreamp combo. I'll be needing two mics and a 2-channel micpreamp (or two mono micpreamps), and my budget is around $1000USD for all three items.

My setup:

- Engl E580 preamp
- Engl E930/60 poweramp
- TC G Force
- 2 x Engl 1x12" V30 cabs (dry)
- 2 x Dynacord AM12 active fullrange monitor (wet)

Depending on what type of gig/band I play, my system will be running in either mono (with one Engl cab), stereo (with two Engl cabs), wet/dry (with one Engl cab and a Dynacord monitor) and wet/dry/wet (with one Engl cab and two Dynacord monitors), so the mic(s)/micpreamp(s) should work well, both when I mic the cabs for the PA/FOH system and/or feeding my wet-cabs.

So, I'd like to be able to both mic my own cabs (to get a consistent sound and be in control of my own sound - mic placement/micpreamp gain settings/micpreamp EQ settings) and also be able to run my rig with the "dry cab->mic->micpreamp->effects->fullrange monitors" setup, to get the big sound when I play in trios (with drums and bass).

Here is what I'm looking for in mics:

- Must sound good

Here is what I'm looking for in a micpreamp:

- 2 channels
- I'd prefer a micpreamp with EQs
- 1U 19"
- Must be able to run on 230V
- Must not be very deep (around 20cm / 8 inches deep)
- Must sound good

And of course, the mic(s)/micpreamp(s) is not meant for studio-use, so please don't suggest me $5000 Neumann mics and expensive micpreamps

Please make suggestions/comments.

Thanks,
Jesper
